Generating Space for Wholeness
The health and well-being of our travelers are most important to us, and we are committed to keeping you informed as COVID-19 protocols worldwide are updated.
As regulations on international travel evolve, we ask that you remain open-minded and flexible. Kindness and respect are the way we roll. We recognize the immense privilege that it is to travel and will continue to act on our moral obligation and duty of care to our clients and the communities we visit.
Your Hosts’ COVID policies are subject to change as we monitor evolving public health guidance and government regulations. We will continually evaluate these requirements and make updates as local public health standards evolve. Please note that all travelers must adhere to all health protocols and travel requirements applicable in the country of travel as well as Hosts’ health and safety protocols.
If you’d like to know more about our perspective specifically and our COVID trip management plan for our co-creation, please contact info@kerrilake.com.
COVID-19 VACCINATION
Your Hosts do not require travelers to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19. We continue to recommend to our guests that being vaccinated and up to date with boosters as they become available may be an important measure while traveling.
Specific proof of testing or vaccination may still be required by your destination or airline. Please ensure you check travel and entry requirements carefully.
LOCAL HEALTH PROTOCOLS
To keep your group, your guides and the communities you visit safe, we ask that you kindly follow all local health protocols and regulations where you travel. If you are unable to do so, you may be required to leave your trip. We empower our guides to follow local guidelines, which may include (but are not limited to):
Masks/PPE
Maintaining physical distance
Hand washing and sanitizing
COVID-19 tests for suspected exposure
Isolation when deemed necessary
If COVID-19 exposure or a positive COVID-19 test arises while on trip, we ask that you comply with local guidelines.
YOUR ON-TRIP HEALTH
If you experience COVID-19 symptoms while on trip, notify your Hosts immediately. For the safety of the rest of the group, our guides, partners and suppliers, any traveler testing positive for COVID-19 may be required to gently isolate, where possible, until they present a negative test or when symptoms improve. We encourage customers who are not feeling well to rest gently and care for themselves appropriately.
Any traveler with a positive COVID-19 test result may be required to refrain from further group activities and follow local health protocols, based on conversations with your guides, your group and local partners and suppliers. The trip will continue as planned, potentially with modifications (i.e. masking and social distancing) and will be managed on a case-by-case basis.
Any costs associated with cancellations, delays or medical needs are your responsibility. We strongly recommend all travelers purchase COVID, cancellation and interruption travel insurance coverage, where possible.
Our goal is to keep the trip going wherever possible unless we are required to end the trip in line with local regulations.
AFTER YOUR TRIP
If you test positive for COVID-19 upon returning home from your trip, please let us know.
